Private auctions are periodically organized by Shango Galleries

Stay tuned for upcoming auctions

Private auctions are periodically organized by Shango Galleries on ArtTrak.com to provide the opportunity for interested buyers to acquire works of art in a private, invitation-only auction. By entering a bid for a particular work, the bidder agrees to all terms and conditions listed below. Invitations will be sent by email to prospective bidders with a catalog of the prospective works and a prospective date for opening the auction bidding. With each work, a reserve price will be noted.

Bidding
The bidder has the option of submitting a bid higher or lower than the reserve price. If no bids have been placed above the reserve price, ArtTrak has the option of refusing or accepting the highest bid below the reserve price. ArtTrak must accept the highest price entered above the reserve price. All bids will be placed by email to [email protected]. All bids will be registered with the time stamp of the email from the bidder. All bids and all bidders’ names will remain private.

Payment
All bidders will be notified by email whether their bid was successful or not. All payments are to be made within ten days of the end of the auction by check to Shango Galleries or wire transfer to our account. Sales tax will be collected in accordance with the appropriate state laws.  There will be no buyer’s premium. After payments have cleared, shipping will be at the buyer’s expense and will be coordinated by Shango Galleries. The title to sold works of art will be transferred to the buyer when the funds have been cleared and the object is shipped.

Guarantee of Authenticity
All works of art are guaranteed to be authentic as represented. If authenticity is challenged and cannot be resolved between Shango Galleries and the winning bidder, all cases will be resolved by mediation in Dallas, Texas. Shango Galleries will be fully transparent in revealing both known and alleged second-hand information about collection history and condition.

Limiting Conditions
Shango Galleries cannot be held responsible for damage incurred in shipping, which is the responsibility of the buyer. Shango Galleries cannot be held responsible for the loss of value that may occur at some point in the future of a work of art acquired at auction.
